Creating a transaction in the testbank means that the next time Atlar fetches transactions from the Testbank, this transaction will be included— given that its date is within range of the fetch (ie. if you put a future date, you'd have to wait until that future date strikes before the transactions are returned). In order to not have to wait for the nightly fetches, one can use the 'Refresh' button in the dashboard to trigger ad-hoc fetches from the testbank.
