Creating the First Payment

When a connection to a bank is established and the payment scheme(s) are promoted to production, real transactions via the Atlar dashboard can be performed. The first step is to create small “penny tests” to ensure the scheme(s) and connection functions as intended.

When creating a penny test it is recommended to:

  • Perform the test between your own accounts, and;
  • With a small value amount.

For example, if creating a penny test for the SEPA Credit Transfer one could perform the test from a EUR account with Bank A to a EUR account with Bank B, with a value of 1EUR. The requirement is that Bank A is the connection which is being tested via Atlar.
