Third-party connections

Connect Atlar to your banks, PSPs, and ERP systems Third-party connections are secure technical integrations that allow Atlar to fetch data (balances, statements) and push instructions (payments) to external providers such as banks, payment service providers, or ERP systems like NetSuite.

The Third-Party tab provides a single place to manage all integrations between Atlar and your financial partners. From here, you can view supported payment schemes, manage connection secrets, and monitor all incoming and outgoing instructions.

How third-party connections work

Each connection represents a secure technical link between Atlar and a specific provider.

  • Details – View the payment schemes supported by each third party.

    ℹ️

You’ll see all schemes supported by the provider, but you only have access to the ones configured during onboarding.

  • Secrets – Manage the credentials or parameters (“secrets”) required for Atlar to connect and exchange data or send payment instructions.

  • Statements – Access all raw statements fetched from the third party, providing full visibility into balances and transactions.

  • Instructions – Track all instructions pushed to the bank or PSP, such as payment messages sent for processing.

Adding or updating a connection

To create or update a connection, contact your Delivery Manager or follow the setup instructions provided during onboarding. Depending on the provider, you may need to supply:

  • API credentials or SFTP details
  • OAuth tokens or certificates
  • Specific payment scheme configuration (e.g., SEPA, FPS)

Atlar uses these credentials to securely synchronize account data and send payment instructions.

Best practices

  • Rotate secrets regularly – Update API keys or certificates on a scheduled basis to maintain security.
  • Verify supported schemes – Confirm which payment schemes are active before initiating payments.
  • Audit frequently – Use the Audit Trail to monitor connection changes and instruction events.
💡

Tip Combine third-party connections with Webhooks to receive real-time notifications of statements, transactions, or payment status changes.
