Using Bank Account Reconciliation
This guide outlines how one can use the Bank Account Reconciliation module together with Atlar.
Before continuing, make sure you’ve completed the following steps:
Fetching bank balances and transactions
Atlar enables Business Central to fetch balances and transactions from all your connected banks.
This means you no longer have to manually provide bank reports to Business Central.
Whenever new transactions and balances arrive, the Atlar app automatically populates a Bank Acc. Reconciliation record with the correct Statement Ending Balance and Bank Statement Lines.
Tip:Fetching directly from Atlar ensures your reconciliation data is always up to date across all connected banks—no manual imports or file handling required.
To fetch data manually:
- Go to Cash Management → Bank Account Reconciliation.
- Select Actions → Atlar → Fetch Transactions.
This will pull the balance and transaction data directly from Atlar.
Optional automation:You can also schedule automatic fetching.
Go to Job Queue Entries and locate the job named ATB Reconciliation.
Set its status to Ready to enable recurring balance and transaction updates.
The fetched data can then be used to automatically match against the payments created in the Payment Journal.
Automatic reconciliation
Currently, Atlar does not provide automatic reconciliation logic.
Instead, it supports Business Central’s native matching functionality by supplying all the required, up-to-date bank data.
Note:Matching and reconciliation are fully handled by Business Central, ensuring compatibility with your existing accounting setup.
